The Bell Jar

I’m currently reading The Bell Jar and I just love it, it’s one of the very few books that I have identified with completely. Some of the lines in that book, I swear could have come right out of my own mouth. It’s just tragic that Sylvia Plath didn’t write anything else…she didn’t even get to see her book published before she took her own life.

I also hear ‘The Bell Jar’ is to be made into a film…the good news is that it is being made by Killer Films which is headed by Christine Vachon *bows down* to the DON of female producers…the bad news is, Julia Stiles is set to play the lead, Esther Greenwood. I can’t help but not like this chick, she just bugs me out with her simplistic girlitude. Perhaps she can persuade me otherwise? We’ll see…though I have such affection for Esther, I will be hard to convince.

On another note, I had an incredibly mind-numbingly depressing day that accumulated in yet ANOTHER huge disappointment that sees me pondering aimlessly into the depths of wild abandon and hopeless oblivion..but then again, what’s new? Ah me.
