Anti-Semites, Nazi’s, Ryan Gosling and Billy Zane’s weird wig…

I saw ‘The Believer’ today, a film not too widely popular or known but it won notable plaudits at 2001’s Sundance. It stars Ryan Gosling as an anti-semetic Jewish man…yes. It is actually based on a true story about a Nazi in 1960’s America who is involved in an underground fascist movement but who gets exposed by a New York Times reporter for actually being a Jew. The film itself was mediocre but Ryan Gosling was really fantastic and is worthy of praise for his bold choices as an actor thus far in his career. The cinematographer however was poo. I can’t believe he shot a few eps of ‘Six Feet Under’ and the amazing ‘Boys Don’t Cry’ this is however made up for by the fact that he is currently shooting ‘The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants 2’….anyway, he made it look like a daytime Channel 5 movie which if you’re in the US…has the same kind of feel as ‘Murder She Wrote’. Anyway if you can ignore that…and Billy Zane’s weird wig, it’s a pretty good watch.

P.S Had a rubbish and depressing day.

I’m currently interning at The Weinstein Company as well as partaking in all of my other events duties, which actually, are on hold for another 2 weeks whilst I finish this thang. I have to keep things on the down low, on the hush, hush whilst I’m there…wouldn’t want to get fired just yet but yeah…I’m on the snoops, particularly as Sundance is thick in the air.So far The Weinstein Company has acquired the documentary: ‘Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired’ by Marina Zenovich…scoops from the snoops…
